Brief introduction to Dr. Ling Tan:

Ling Tan is an Associate Professor at Hunan University of Science and Technology. She completed her postdoctoral research at the Tianjin Institute of Industrial Biotechnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Ling was awarded her Ph.D. degree in bioengineering from Central South University. She was an exchange Ph.D. student at The University of Queensland, working on the bacterial formation of palladium nanoparticles.

Her current research interests focus on:

1. Development and application of bacterial surface display techniques, particularly in E. coli, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and fungi.

2. Bacterial adsorption and recovery of metal ions from wastewater using synthetic biology approaches.

3. Biosynthesis of metal nanoparticles and their catalytic performance in degrading environmental pollutants.
